The following cases were heard before magistrates between May 10 and 18.

Tuesday, May 10

Nathan Wallace Briggs, 42, of Northway, Rickmansworth. Between February 12, 2016, and February 24, 2016, stole alcohol belonging to Co-Op. Two counts. On February 26, 2016, stole alcohol belonging to Marks and Spencer. Compensation, costs: £292.39.

Rexson Otemro, 27, of Westbury Road, Watford. On March 26, 2016, entered Enterprise Rent-A-Car which he was prohibited from doing by a restraining order. On April 8, 2016, made indirect contact with a person which he was prohibited from doing by a restraining order. Community order made. Costs: £145.

Ricardo Amos Garcia Andrade, 29, of Raphael Drive, Watford. On April 22, 2016, stole alcohol belonging to Tesco. Community order made. Carry out unpaid work for 40 hours within the next 12 months. Costs: £130.

Daniel Robert Joseph McIlroy, 40, of Middleton Road, Rickmansworth. On April 25, 2016, stole seven roast chickens belonging to Tesco. On same date, stole meat belonging to BP petrol station; used threatening or abusive words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour (two counts). Fine, costs: £235.

Charles Alexander Day, 74, of Green Lane, Bovingdon. On February 27, 2016, used a vehicle after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion in breath was 60 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes. Disqualified from driving for 17 months. Fine, costs: £300.

Wednesday, May 11

Eferson Alves Torres, 41, of Hamilton Street, Watford. Between September 13, 2015, and September 18, 2015, knowingly caused the deposition of controlled waste on an open area of land without the authority of a current waste management permit. Fine, compensation, costs: £1,950.

Deborah Wright, 49, of Tunnel Wood Road, Watford. On October 9, 2015, had a vehicle which did not meet insurance requirements registered in her name. Fine, costs: £352.

Thursday, May 12

Scott David Drozd, 34, of Lord Street, Watford. On April 22, 2016, damaged a breakfast bar, a work surface and a glass bowl. Discharged conditionally for 12 months. Compensation, costs: £305.

Ryan Watson, 21, of Sheepcot Lane, Watford. On January 22, 2016, assaulted a person by beating her. Community order made. Carry out unpaid work for 120 hours within the next 12 months. Compensation, costs: £510.

Rogheya Alavi, 33, of Cranefield Drive, Watford. On October 9, 2015, used a vehicle at a speed exceeding the legal limit of 30mph. Fine, costs: £130. Six penalty points.

Howard Lawrence Grossman, 54, of Oundle Avenue, Bushey. On July 3, 2015, used a vehicle when the number of passengers carried by it was such that its use involved a danger of injury to any person. Fine, costs: £855. Three penalty points.

Paul Stephan G McDonald, 49, of Fay Green, Abbots Langley. On August 3, 2015, used a vehicle at a speed exceeding the legal limit of 30mph. Fine, costs: £270. Three penalty points.

Friday, May 13

Colin Richard Crosdale, 51, of Chestnut Avenue, Rickmansworth. Between April 4, 2016, and April 5, 2016, damaged a chain to a vehicle clamp. On April 5, 2016, damaged a vehicle. On same date, wilfully obstructed a police constable in the execution of his duty; used a vehicle without insurance; used a vehicle whilst disqualified from driving. On April 6, 2016, intentionally interfered with controlled goods. Disqualified from driving for nine months. Fine, compensation, costs: £1,699.

Stephen Doyle, 43, of Woolmerdine Court, Bushey. On April 15, 2016, stole chocolate and sweets belonging to The Range. Discharged conditionally for six months. Costs: £20.

Andre Lewis Tyson, 33, of Belgrave Avenue, Watford. On April 27, 2016, had in his possession a quantity of cannabis. Commission of a further offence whilst subject to order of conditional discharge. Community order made. Carry out unpaid work for 40 hours within the next 12 months. Costs: £170.

Neena Sandhu, 30, of Langley Road, Watford. On October 1, 2015, kept a vehicle which was unlicensed on a public road. Fine, costs: £374.59.

Mohammed Shakil Khan, 44, of Hagden Lane, Watford. On December 28, 2015, stole various fragrances belonging to Debenhams. On same date, assaulted a person by beating him. Commission of a further offence whilst subject to order of conditional discharge. Community order made. Fine, costs: £125.

Paul Lawrence Elliott, 42, of Derby Road, Watford. On March 30, 2016, stole cider and ready meals belonging to Tesco. Discharged conditionally for 12 months. Costs: £100.

Saturday, May 14

Nicholas Ireland, 42, of Brampton Road, Watford. On March 15, 2016, stole cosmetic items belonging to Tesco. On April 25, 2016, failed to surrender to custody at Central Herts Magistrates’ Court. Discharged conditionally for 12 months. Costs: £100.

Monday, May 16

Anthony James O’Shea, 31, of Exchange Road, Watford. On April 28, 2016, used a vehicle after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion in breath was 84 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes. On May 3, 2016, failed to surrender to custody at West and Central Herts Magistrates’ Court. Disqualified from driving for 20 months. Fine, costs: £295.

David William Tamayo, 30, of Hill Farm Avenue, Watford. On March 19, 2016, stole goods belonging to Asda. Discharged conditionally for 6 months. Costs: £100.

John Mark Rory Wilkin, 39, of Toms Lane, Kings Langley. On September 26, 2015, drove a vehicle dangerously on a road. On September 15, 2015, used threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour. Two counts. Between September 17, 2015, and September 26, 2015, took a vehicle without the consent of the owner. On September 26, 2015, used a vehicle without insurance. On March 16, 2016, failed to surrender to custody at St Albans Magistrates’ Court. Committed to prison for 18 weeks suspended for 18 months. Disqualified from driving for 15 months. Costs: £380.

Ayn Bashir Chatoo, 51, of Bishops Avenue, Northwood. On February 11, 2016, used a vehicle while disqualified from driving. On same date, used a vehicle without a licence. Disqualified from driving for 28 days. Fine, costs: £728.

Joseph James Wright, 18, of St Albans Road, Watford. On December 8, 2015, dishonestly received stolen goods knowing the same to be stolen. Discharged conditionally for 12 months. Costs: £100.

Tuesday, May 17

Jenna Leigh Harris, 45, of Lincoln Drive, South Oxhey. On May 1, 2016, stole a bottle of wine belonging to Tesco. On May 5, 2016, had in her possession one small bag of cannabis. Fine, compensation, costs: £238.99.

Thomas Alexander Shand, 30, of Linden Lea, Watford. On May 12, 2016, used a vehicle after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion in breath was 46 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes. Disqualified from driving for 12 months. Fine, costs: £910.

Paul Lee Emsden, 25, of Warren Court, Abbots Langley. On October 29, 2015, assaulted a person by beating him. Two counts. Discharged conditionally for 12 months. Costs: £100.
