A road was cordoned off in Abbots Langley after a three-car accident.
Emergency services were called to The Swan pub in College Road at around 10pm on Friday.
A Golf GTI, Volkswagen Polo and Toyota Prius taxi were all involved.
The grandmother of a 20-year-old female driver involved, Marian McDonald said: “She is in shock, but thankfully ok.
"A police officer told me that they noticed a print of make up on the window of her car, she must have hit her face against it to have left the mark.”
The road was closed for an hour and a half.
All three drivers were checked over by ambulance staff and sustained no serious injuries.
Hertfordshire Constabulary confirmed that all drivers were breathalysed and there were no arrests made.
The road was re-opened once the debris had been cleared.
