Toys R Us have recalled a children’s rattle ball over fears that babies could choke to death on the beads inside.
The toy shop, in Dalton Way, Watford, has taken the Kids II Oball rattle off the shelves, after three children in America gagged on beads that came loose from the toy.
More than 81,000 rattles have been sold across the UK.
The toy costs £4.99
In a statement, the company said: “Oball Rattles sold after January 1, 2016, are affected by this recall.
“The rattle beads may release from the clear bead chambers, posing a choking hazard for small children.
“The recalled products have three clear plastic disc shaped bead chambers, one of which has five orange beads.
"Consumers should immediately take these recalled rattles away from young children and contact the firm to receive a full refund."
