A thief broke into a man's home to steal car keys while his mother was sleeping in the next room.
Adam Humphrey, 35, Fulford Grove, South Oxhey was dismayed to find his car had been stolen from his driveway while he slept on the night of Friday, October 13.
CCTV footage shows from Mr Humphrey’s property shows the thief took the black Mercedes Benz 250 Estate between 3.10am and 3.18am.
The Network Rail mobile operations manager said: “I am gutted about this. I presume that they had prized my front door open to grab the keys while my mum was sleeping in the front room.
“There are things like my daughter’s car-seat that we will have to replace.
“I had only had the car back for a week as it had been in the garage.
“We caught the image of who had done it, but we cannot make out the face from the footage.
“People have been in touch on Facebook with information, which I have passed onto the police."
This is the reportedly the second car theft in a week to happen in South Oxhey.
