An eyewear specialist has teamed up with charity to give children the eyecare they need.
Glasses on Spec is working with Humanity Direct to provide children in Uganda with eye tests and, where needed, glasses, free of charge.
The charity hired an opthomologist, four nurses and an auto-refractor from the national regional hospital for Uganda, Mulago Hospital Kampala, to test children's eyes as part of their ongoing programme with Glasses on Spec.
So far 300 prescriptions have been honoured free of charge.
If you have glasses you no longer use these can be repurposed for a child and donated at the Olds Close store of Glasses on Spec Outlet in Watford.
