Drivers will have to find alternative routes following a burst water main.
Redhall Lane, near Chandlers Cross, is shut so workers can repair part of a road after a pipe burst over the weekend.
The road is currently closed between Chandlers Lane and Sarratt Road.
Affinity Water has provided an update and said it expects the road to remain closed until tomorrow afternoon (Tuesday).
The area has been plagued by burst water mains over the last couple of months leading to road closures and gridlock on surrounding lanes.
Some neighbours were left without water on Saturday but supply was fully restored by the early evening, Affinity Water said.
The best diversions are to carry round on the M25 to Rickmansworth, and then follow signs for Croxley or travel via the A41, then along Hempstead Road, towards Watford town centre.
Affinity Water has apologised for any inconvenience caused.
