Watford’s biggest jobs event is back!

Planning for my annual jobs fair is well underway and I’m delighted to announce a host of new companies exhibiting this year.

This year Google, Yo! Sushi, M&S and The Grove will be there, as well as returning companies: Warner Bros, Debenhams, Hilton, Europcar and Corona Energy.

The Watford Jobs Fair is in its eighth year and links local companies with vacancies to those looking for a new job. With thanks to sponsors Camelot and intu Watford, the fair is completely free for job seekers and exhibiting companies.

It’s on Thursday September 13 in Watford High Street, and will run from 10am to 3pm.

I believe the fairs are a success because they work in the way they are supposed to – they help people secure jobs. They are open to all, with managerial, full-time and technical jobs on offer, along with apprenticeships and training, casual work, part-time roles, first jobs and opportunities to change career.

Unemployment has more than halved in Watford and I believe part of that is down to the increase in the number of jobs available in our area. There will be close to 1000 jobs available at the Watford Jobs Fair, with 70 local employers recruiting for a variety of roles.

Attendees can also get a professional to take a look at their CV, take part in a mock interview or participate in a workshop. So it’s well worth coming along to.
