There are reportedly up to ten caravans camped on playing fields.
Watford Borough Council is aware of the “unauthorised encampment” in Radlett Road and says it is working as “quickly as possible” to remove them.
It comes nearly a year to the day travellers moved onto the same playing fields.
Watford Borough Council and Hertsmere Borough Council has already moved on a number of caravans in the last couple of months in Watford and Bushey including in Leggatts Green, King George Recreation Park, and in Thomas Sawyer Way.
Mayor of Watford, Peter Taylor, said: “We are aware of an unauthorised encampment on Radlett Road playing fields. We are working with our partners Veolia and Herts Police and will remove the encampment as soon as is legally possible.
"I would like to reassure residents that we are working as quickly as we can to resolve the issue - Watford does not tolerate illegal encampments.”
