Two set of roadworks are set to cause delays for commuters until the end of the working week at least.
Drivers have already been facing problems along Rickmansworth Road while repairs were being made to low voltage cables.
The works were initially scheduled to finish today (Wednesday) but Hertfordshire County Council’s roadworks site says traffic lights will be in place until Monday.
Another set of roadworks has appeared in Whippendell Road, close to the Rising Sun, and very close to the works in Rickmansworth Road. Affinity Water is repairing a water main and will continue to do so until Friday, as it stands.
It meant people coming from Rickmansworth and Croxley Green faced long delays into Watford this morning with queues along Watford Road and Baldwins Lane towards the business parks.
People heading down Whippendell Road from the town centre were also badly affected.
You can keep up to date on the roadworks by visiting https://roadworks.org/ and searching for your area.
