Didgeridoo Workshop

An opportunity to learn to play this ancient instrument in a one day workshop for beginners. During the workshop you will learn how you get the circular breathing, which is essential to playing the didgeridoo, plus a variety of other sounds to create some beautiful rhythms. After a short break, you can then choose to stay on for a magical sound journey session, where a variety of instruments will be played to relax the mind, body and soul.

Dark Arts

Throughout the Halloween season, fans of Death Eaters, daring duels and Halloween feasts are invited to explore the darkness of the Wizarding World in this special feature dedicated to the Dark Arts. The iconic Great Hall set will be decorated with over 100 floating pumpkins. e. The Great Hall tables will also be laden with a Halloween feast of red apples, pumpkins and cauldrons of lollipops. After learning wand combat moves in an interactive experience with Wand Choreographer, Paul Harris, you are invited to take part in an exciting live duel with Death Eaters in the Studio Tour’s backlot. Demonstrating how a crowd scene like the Battle of Hogwarts would have been created during filming, you will test out your newly learned wand techniques as you are directed through a battle with Death Eaters who are storming the Hogwarts Bridge.

George Egg: DIY Chef

Direct from total sell-outs at the Gilded Balloon, Edinburgh Fringe 2017 and Brighton Fringe 2017, award-winning comedian George Egg (the ‘Anarchist Cook’) returns with a brand new show demonstrating more live cooking and laugh-out-loud comedy. A health scare sees George banned from the family kitchen, but relocated to the garden shed his imagination and resourcefulness lead him to build an improvised kitchen there instead. During an inspiring and inventive evening comprising of stand-up, live cooking and a comedy lecture, George prepares breakfast, lunch and dinner using the most unconventional of methods. It’s funny, inspiring and absurd in equal measure. Expect power tools, gardening equipment and office supplies to be re-purposed and abused. Expect lots of laughs. Expect to learn something new. And you get to taste the food at the end.

Moor Park 10k and Fun Run

This popular annual event is now in its 17th year with races for all ages and speeds. There will be a small fun fair, bouncy castles and refreshments plus the Team Village where teams can set up their own HQ for the day. The whole event raises money for the Lynda Jackson Macmillan Centre to provide support to people affected by cancer at Mount Vernon Cancer Centre in Northwood.
