A woman was reportedly attacked by a man she knew in a shopping street.
The woman, aged in her 30s, was said to be assaulted outside Costcutter in Queens Road, Watford, at around 8am yesterday morning. (Thursday)
A member of the public stepped in to help the woman and the man fled..with the victim.
Police believe there were plenty of witnesses and appealing for information.
Officers investigating an alleged assault in Watford are appealing for information and witnesses.
Detective Sergeant Ben Smith, who is investigating, said: “We understand that there may have been a number of witnesses who have not yet spoken to police.
“I’m appealing for anyone who saw the incident to contact me by emailing ben.smith@herts.pnn.police.uk, or calling 101, quoting crime reference 41/45203/18."
