A mobility scooter rider suffered “serious” head and leg injuries after a suspected hit and run.
Police were called at around 5pm last night to reports of a road traffic collision in Rickmansworth High Street involving a vehicle and a man on an electric scooter.
The man, believed to be in his 50s, suffered serious injuries to his leg and head and was taken to hospital for treatment.
His condition is not thought to be life-threatening at this time.
A 19-year-old man from Chorleywood was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and failing to stop after an accident.
He has been released under investigation while police enquiries continue.
