Watford man charged with murder
A man has been charged with murder after a young woman died from injuries inflicted on her when she was a baby.
Dean Smith, 44, of Kingsfield Road, Watford, was charged today with the murder and manslaughter of Maisie Newell who died on June 28, 2014, from injuries related to an assault against her when she was an infant in 2000.
Smith appeared at Willesden Magistrates’ Court today where he was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on Thursday.
