A tree has fallen this morning crushing the back of a parked car.
High winds brought the tree down onto the car which was parked outside Kings Langley train station.
The tree has squashed the back of the car, smashing the back window. The rest of the car does not appear to have been damaged.
Fortunately no one was inside the car. Reports on social media suggest the driver is aware of what has happened.
Temporary traffic lights have been set up outside the station with the fallen tree blocking half of the road. Recovery is at the scene.
Hertfordshire County Council is warning of further stormy weather today with strong winds and heavy rain showers expected.
Fallen trees should be reported to the highways department – or call the emergency services if there is a risk to life.
