Several people gathered to celebrate the unveiling of a new amenity hub for a business park’s employees to the public on Wednesday afternoon.

‘The Hive’ was unveiled at a special lunchtime launch ceremony in the new café in Croxley Park, Watford.

The three striking new buildings totalling 16,217 sq. ft. can be used to host conferences, gallery and events with relaxing waterside terraces and restaurant.

Speaking at the launch event Mayor of Watford Peter Taylor said: “The Hive is a wonderful new lakeside destination that both businesses at Croxley Park and the wider local community will benefit from.

“The new gym, café and event space enhances the Park’s offer, and I am sure will help it continue to attract leading businesses to locate there. It is also excellent to see the Hive has been built to such a high standard, with a focus on design and sustainability.”

Home to over 60 companies and 2,400 employees, Croxley Park has undergone a major refurbishment since 2007 to offer the best working space for staff.

FTSE 100 listed medical technology firm Smith & Nephew American photography company is located here.

Emma Maru, executive assistant to the CEO at tenant company StarLeaf said: “The Hive is a great addition for the well-being of everybody who works at Croxley Park. It’s so important to have space you can enjoy away from your desk for socialising, exercising or just a relaxing break.

“I know my colleagues and I will be taking full advantage of what The Hive has to offer, and I have no doubt it will help motivate and provide new space for meetings and collaboration.”

Rob Madden, head of UK Offices CBRE commented: “Croxley Park’s owners are delighted to launch The Hive. More is expected of today’s workplaces than ever before, and the best businesses expect them to contribute to better employee wellbeing.

“The Hive will continue to ensure that Croxley Park does this and is an exceptional place to work and can compete as a modern, best in class business park – not only in the UK but internationally too.”
