Police are carrying out warrants at Watford Market and shops in the town centre.
There is a heavy police presence in Watford but Hertfordshire Police has confirmed that it is a planned operation and there is no threat to the public.
Police were in the indoor part of Watford Market too. They are pictured here lifting up a shop front but quickly moved on elsewhere
The warrants are being carried out under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 and the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984.
Numerous uniformed officers have been joined by plain clothes officers are at the scene alongside officers from Trading Standards.
A police dog is also in the town centre.
Police activity has since moved further down the high street.
