A four-year-old boy was safely found two hours after he was reported missing.
A police helicopter and several officers were scrambled to the Aldenham area at 6.30pm yesterday after concerns were raised that a child had gone missing.
A nearby pub also helped spark a social media appeal and several members of the public also went out to join the search.
Hertfordshire Constabulary has confirmed the boy was found safe at 8.30pm, close to where he had last been spotted.
