Watford's MP met the Sri Lankan High Commissioner to pay his condolences following the Easter Sunday terror attacks.
Richard Harrington spoke to High Commissioner Manisha Gunasekera on behalf of his Sri Lankan constituents this afternoon (Thursday).
Mr Harrington will be attending the vigil in Watford on Saturday to grieve with the local community and has asked for a representative from the High Commission to attend with him.
He said: "I was shocked and saddened to wake up to the news of the horrific attacks in Sri Lanka on Sunday morning. My thoughts and prayers go out to all those who were killed, as well as their families and friends.
"We are lucky to have a vibrant Sri Lankan community in Watford, and we will all be coming together on Saturday to pay our respects."
