A memorial service will be held at 'the journalists' church' for a former Observer staffer who went on to work for the nationals.
Writer and Guardian night editor Simon Ricketts died in December 2018, some two years after he had been diagnosed with bowel cancer.
In his career, he had worked at the Daily Mail and Independent before joining the Guardian, the paper it was his ambition to write for. He also built up a strong following on Twitter and in his blog.
A memorial service will be held at St Bride's Church, Fleet Street, on Friday, May 17 at 11.30am.
