A section of Watford ring road will be closed for four nights for resurfacing work.
The road will be closed between Lower High Street and Upton Road between 8pm and 5am on the following days: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and next Monday.
The road will not be shut at any time over the weekend and it is expected to be completed by the early hours of next Tuesday.
The diversion route will be via Lower High Street, Eastbury Road, Deacons Hill, Farraline Road, Merton Road, and Rickmansworth Road - diversion signs will be in operation.
Hertfordshire County Council says the project will involve replacing the existing worn out road, replacing anti-skid surfacing, replacing damaged or adjusting iron work covers and frames, reinstalling and refreshing road markings and studs, cleaning gullies and reinstalling traffic signal loops.
