Retail giants TK Maxx appears to have identified a new site for its store in Watford.
Applicants TJX Europe has submitted an application for a unit in Century Park, near Bushey Arches, formerly home to PC World and more recently Fabb Sofas.
TK Maxx will be moving from its current site in St Albans Road, which is likely to be turned into housing - Berkely Homes has submitted plans for 1,214 homes.
The application at Century Park seeks a change to a condition to allow the sale of clothing and footwear at the shop, while the plans also include the construction of a mezzanine floor.
The planning statement suggests TK Maxx, could find no "suitable" or available units in Watford town centre which is why the company has set its sights on the retail park.
If TK Maxx, which is based in Watford, does receive planning permission, it will be next door to budget supermarket Aldi.
