Armed police and the helicopter helped search for a missing man last night.
Police were called to reports of a man who was threatening to harm himself who had then gone missing in the Meriden area of Watford yesterday evening.
The man was declared as a "high-risk" missing person, so police sent armed units and dogs to the scene to find the man while the helicopter circled over North Watford and Garston.
The missing man was later found safely.
A police spokeswoman said: "The man was declared a high risk missing person, so extensive searches were carried out in order to locate him and ensure his safety.
"At around 11.45pm, the missing person was found in Hemel Hempstead where he was assessed and signposted to further support services."
