Police have confirmed they were called just after 3pm today to reports of a collision between a red Vauxhall Corsa and a black Vauxhall Astra.
At least three police cars and an ambulance were at the scene.
A fire crew from Garston came across the crash and provided first aid at the scene.
The two people travelling in the Corsa have sustained minor injuries, police have said.
Both vehicles needed to be recovered - the A41 reopened fully at around 4.20pm.
There were queues on the A41 tailing back to the Hartspring roundabout in Bushey while the road was shut, and nearby roads were busy too.
However, delays on the A41 approaching where the cars crashed have since cleared.
