Update: Teenager charged with murder after woman stabbed
Police have launched an investigation after a woman died at a house in Watford.
Police and paramedics were called to a property in Clarke Way at 5.08pm yesterday (Monday), after receiving reports that a woman was injured.
Emergency services attended the house but the woman was declared dead at the scene.
Hertfordshire Constabulary says the family's next of kin are aware of what has happened.
A police cordon is in place outside the house and an investigation into the woman's death is underway.
Forensic officers have been at the scene since last night.
Detective Inspector Iain MacPherson, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, and Hertfordshire major crime unit, said: “An investigation has been launched to establish the circumstances of the death and forensic officers remain at the location as part of this.
“A 17 year old male has been arrested and is currently in police custody while the investigation continues.
“We would like to reassure the public locally that at this stage it is believed to be an isolated incident.”
