ORGANISERS of the Herts County Show are hoping it will be third time lucky at this year's show, after foot and mouth and flooding put paid to the last two shows.
The event will be held on Saturday, May 25, and Sunday, May 26. The Hertfordshire Agricultural Society is still restricted by an Animal Gatherings Order.
This prevents sheep, goats and cattle from being on display but is confident of putting on a good show.
Visitors to the showground in Redbourn will be able to see plenty of breeds of horses including Shetland ponies and giant Clydesdales together with donkeys and American Morgan horses.
There will also be displays featuring gun dogs, birds of prey, pigeons, rabbits and owls.
Browsers can peruse the 300 trade stands or check out the demonstration of sheep shearing through the ages.
There will also be a chance to learn from the Living History re-enactment of the English Civil War.
Aircraft lovers will also find something to entertain then as two Russian aircraft will also be performing aerial acrobatics.
