A RHYL fundraising group has continued its efforts to support animals through the pandemic.
Following a donaton to the Pet Rescue Welfare Association in Dyserth, members of community charity Belief have lent their support to troubled underwater attraction the Rhyl SeaQuarium.
The Journal reported earlier this month of the aquarium’s fears about its ability to continue to care for its animals - leading a five strong group of volunteers to adopt four of its animals
Steve Evans, a volunteer from Meliden, said: “After reading in The Journal that Rhyl’s SeaQuarium tourist attraction fears it may have look to rehome or even euthanise its animals, Belief fundraising group recently adopted four buddies.
“We adopted an octopus, a clownfish, a bull huss - which is a type of shark - and a harbour seal.
“Adopting a Sea Buddy is a great way to help ensure the safety of the animals, support the attraction and protect local jobs.”
