Hi, my name is Blue and I’m a beautiful three-year-old ex-racing greyhound.

Scroll down this page and you'll also meet my friend Mario, who’s four.

The National Animal Welfare Trust has been looking after us until we find our forever homes.

I’m a sweet, friendly girl who can be nervous with new people and situations but, since coming to the NAWT, my confidence has come on leaps and bounds.

Watford Observer:

I love to play – especially with squeaky toys - and chase balls. I also love food and will pinch whatever I can get my paws on so leave tasty treats lying around at your peril.

I do have some manageable health issues, which our vet team is happy to discuss. I’m looking for a home with adults or families with children age 16 and over.

Watford Observer:

My friend Mario is a very affectionate boy who enjoys being around people. Like me, he loves squeaky toys. After chasing his toys around, he likes cuddles and fuss.

He does still have a few basics to learn so needs an owner who’ll continue his positive, reward-based training. He needs a home with adults or families with children aged at least 12.

We could both possibly live with a male dog of a similar size but not cats.

Having lived in kennels all our lives, we ex-racing greyhounds are always so grateful to have a couch to call our own.

If you can give us loving homes, email reception@nawt.org.uk or call 0208 950 0177 (option 2) to meet us.
