A teenage boy has been arrested following a number of cars being vandalised and damaged.

Police were called to South Oxhey just before 2.30pm to reports of criminal damage in Newbiggin Path, Northwick Road and Chilwell Gardens.

At the scene, officers discovered vehicle damages on the road such as wing mirrors being knocked off.

Watford Police originally stated on Facebook that thirty vehicles were damaged in the space of half an hour, but Hertfordshire Constabulary now confirmed reports of eight damages were received.

A spokesperson said it is possible further reports will be received

A boy, 17, from South Oxhey was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage. He has been released under investigation while enquires continue.
