The search is on after a “loveable" goat was stolen from a farm.
Police are currently investigating the theft of ‘Ed’ the goat from Langleybury Children's Farm in Kings Langley sometime between Thursday (November 19) at 4.30pm and 9.30am today.
A trustee from the farm said his hair was found caught on the fence that he was passed over.
The trustee explained: “He has a collar on so it’s quite easy to grab hold of him, he’s a big billy-type goat but he’s harmless so it’s easy enough to pick up and pass it over the fence to someone.
“It’s not the first time it’s happened to us either. A couple of years ago we had some goats stolen and we have got CCTV but it’s not great CCTV.”
Ed the goat was deemed as a favourite to many
“I hope he’s not hurt, he’s such a loveable goat and a lot of our visitors have shared to say he’s one of their favourite goats on the farm. He’s so happy and loves the attention so a lot of our visitors are pretty gutted as well as our volunteers.
“We love our animals, so if one goes missing we are pretty gutted.”
Enquiries are continuing at this time and anyone with information which could assist the investigation is asked to contact police.
