A by-election will take place next year following the death of a councillor.
There is a vacant seat in the Kenilworth ward in Borehamwood after Conservative councillor Cynthia Barker passed away in September after a period of ill-health.
Cllr Barker was also serving as the mayor of Hertsmere when she died - the role has since been taken on by her colleague, Councillor Alan Plancey.

Voters in Kenilworth ward will have to wait until next May to elect a new councillor due to Covid-19.
The by-election, which has been triggered after the required number of requests was received, will take place on May 6 2021.
Only residents living in Borehamwood Kenilworth ward will be eligible to vote in this by-election.
Next May will also see Hertsmere voters go to the polls to elect new parish councillors in Shenley, South Mimms, and Aldenham, South Mimms, Shenley and Aldenham/Radlett, while there will also be elections for Parish Councils; Hertfordshire County Council and the county's police and crime commissioner.

Sam Langford, electoral services manager for Hertsmere Borough Council, said: "The elections next year are very important – they’re an opportunity to make your voice heard and have a say on who represents you on issues that directly affect day-to-day life.
"We’re thinking about these elections now so that, however you choose to cast your vote in May, you can do so safely.
"We’re putting arrangements in place to help you stay safe at the polling station; you can expect many of the measures you’ve become used to in shops and banks over recent months, such as hand sanitiser, floor markings and face masks.
"But you also have the option to apply to vote by post or by proxy."
