A MAN has died after collapsing at a public square yesterday.
Police were called to Palmeira Square in Hove shortly after 6pm and were joined at the scene by ambulance crews.
Emergency vehicles filled the streets at the top of the square for several hours as officers and paramedics attended.
But police confirmed this morning that a man in his 60s had died during the incident.
The death is not being treated as suspicious.
A Sussex Police spokesman said: "At 6.15pm yesterday, a man in his 60s collapsed and died in Palmeira Square, Hove.
"There are no suspicious circumstances and the coroners officers will be continuing enquiries."
