Santa will be taking time out of his busy schedule to bring some festive cheer to Kings Langley on Saturday evening and raise money for charity in the run up to Christmas
As Santa and his helpers will not be able to knock on doors to collect money this year, Hemel Rotary – which has organised Santa’s sleigh tour of Hemel Hempstead, Apsley and Kings Langley for the last five years – is asking for everyone to spread the word and listen out, so that children can be on their doorsteps or at their windows to greet him.
Hemel Rotary President Beverley Funnell said: “We are delighted that Santa can do his sleigh tour again this year and we are hoping to raise much needed funds for all our deserving local charities.
"We have had great support from local businesses and hope that more companies and individuals will get in touch or contribute online at www.JustGiving.com/campaign/HemelSanta. All the money received goes back to the local community.”
Supporting businesses will be recognised on the Rotary website and can proudly show off the ‘I’m supporting Santa’ logo online or in stores and offices with a special window sticker.
Any individual or business who would like to donate to this year’s Santa’s Sleigh and bring a little joy to children this Christmas should contact at rchhsleigh@gmail.com
Santa will be on the road from 6pm to 8pm and his first stop will be Kings Langley on Saturday. He can be tracked at christmas.trackit247.com
