A café in Rickmansworth is saying thank you to the community that has supported it through this difficult year by giving a hot meal to anyone who needs it over the next two days.

The Café in the Park, located at Rickmansworth Aquadrome, will be offering a hot, freshly cooked vegetarian meal to anyone who needs it from 9am to 4pm tomorrow and on Christmas Eve.

Due to the Tier 4 restrictions, the meal will be takeaway only but café staff are keen to repay the support they have received in 2020.

The Café’s owner Julie Wright said: “This year has been a particularly difficult one for all but it has been made easier by being part of such a fabulous community and it is the support we have been shown that has enabled us this year to continue to open our doors to you.

“With all the changes taking place in 2020 it was quite possibly not the best of decisions to completely change our business direction by making the restaurant completely meat free and vegetarian, none the less we considered it an important part to making our business as sustainable as we can be. A difficult decision when one of our most popular sales item was our sausage roll.

"Thankfully you our community in the most part supported our decision and continue to visit us.”
