Whether it was a first bicycle, a dolls house, a sports kit or a video games console, many of us will have received a Christmas present or seasonal gift that holds fond memories and we may still treasure it to this day.
We asked members of the Watford Observer's nostalgia Facebook group, 'We grew up in Watford', to tell us about their favourite toy or present they received while growing up in the area and while they still love it so much.

Nigel Sutton posted this picture and wrote: "Me and my older brother with our toys after visiting Santa's grotto around the late 1960s. Probably in the basement of Cawdells, can't remember what the gift was, maybe a fishing rod?"
Jane Shippey has special memories of this gift. She said: "My sister was born Xmas 1970 and my brother and and I were allowed in for one hour to see her and mum on Christmas Day. This was my present x"
Linda Geddes said: "I loved a chocolate vending machine. This isn't quite the same as the one I got but it's close enough. I used to put my two old pennies pocket money in to get a tiny bar of chocolate out."
Rachel Milne wrote: "Bagpuss Pyjama Case. I loved watching him on TV."
Catherine Duce Howard shared a picture of this present and said: "The Simon electronic game. It kept me occupied for hours and I can still remember the noise it made if you got it wrong."
How many of you once had a Nintendo 64 like Lizee Barry? She said: "Some of my now most treasured memories are playing this with my brother when we were little."
Anna Pumilia wrote: "I was overjoyed to get my ballet Sindy doll."
Suzy Barry once received a typewriter in a blue case.
Graham Laycock said: "A Johnny Seven Rifle. Only us older ones will remember this one."
Many of you may remember this early games console. Karl Burn said: "The graphics on my Binatone were awsome."
Richard Massara shared this family photo and said: "Galaxy invader 1000. What's not to like."
This present is approaching 70 years old as Celia Glenister explained: "My doll I had for Christmas when I was about five years old. I love her but my grandchildren call her 'scary dolly'. She's about 66 years old."
Who remembers one of these? Susan Carter said: "My Amstrad system. I really wish I still had it."
Kim Garwood has fond memories of her Chatty Cathy doll, while Amanda Dunning said: "I think I had Sindy's wardrobe as a gift in 1977, the first Christmas I was in Watford. I still have it in it's original box."
Rache LGentleman wrote: "I never forget the year me and my brother got these, sadly they only lasted as long as the turkey."
