A suspected drink driver was arrested after going on a search for a missing iPhone left in a taxi.
Police were called to Mildred Avenue, Watford, on Tuesday (December 29) to reports of a suspicious vehicle.
Once approached by officers at around 3.30am, the driver from Stanmore explained she left her iPhone in a taxi on Monday evening (December 28) and was looking to retrieve it.
The driver claimed she tracked the device back to a house where the taxi driver lived and drove there despite being over the drink drive limit.
Hertfordshire Constabulary say it is believed the driver had no insurance or driving license.
The woman, 21, was arrested on suspicion of driving while unfit through drink or drugs and remains in police custody.
The smartphone was also found at the back of the taxi seat and returned.
