Care home residents received their first round of Covid-19 vaccinations just before Christmas.
Bushey House were residents were treated with an “early Christmas gift” of the Covid-19 vaccines after a visit from Attenborough Surgery in Bushey on December 23.
Dr Zemmel who led the vaccinations said he believed Bushey House was one of the first care homes in Hertfordshire to have vaccinated residents.
“After such an awful year we are glad to help bring some hope for a brighter 2021,” said Dr Zemmel.
The team from the surgery were treated with small gifts from regional director Wayne Hughes to show their appreciation.
The second round of vaccinations will be issued at a later date.
Home administrator Lynn Harvey said: “It was such a pleasure to have Dr Zemmel and his team at Bushey House, the way in which they done the vaccinations was outstanding, our residents felt comfortable and were reassured at all times."
