PEOPLE weeing on the street and youths smoking weed are just some of the problems residents across Basingstoke have reported in 2020.

FixMyStreet, built by charity mySociety, allows residents to file reports with the submissions automatically lodged with the relevant council.

Here are some of the report’s residents have filed in your area over the last year.

Woman weeing in the street on South Ham Road

One report stated: “A Deliveroo driver squared out of her car and weed in the street! Left tissue on the floor outside my house.”

Youths smoking weed at Elizabeth Hall

Another reported: “Two youngish people smoking what smelt like cannabis on the bench at Elizabeth Hall. This happens quite frequently, usually after 10pm . We give our dog a quick night time walk up the road and round the Elizabeth Hall car park and have often seen and smelt the distinctive aroma.”

Rats all over Chineham Shopping Centre

A concerned resident complained about rats in Chineham, they wrote: “Reported many times, nothing done.”

Bird poo all over cars

A fed up resident complained about The Beeches, in Hatch Warren stating: “Trees covering the visitors carpark causing all cars to be caked in bird faeces, would be nice if this wasn't a problem as some people have to park here a lot.”

Children’s swing

An annoyed resident reported a makeshift swing.

“The grassed area in Whistler close is inundated with children night and day as some new residents have tied makeshift swings to the trees. Many neighbours have commented on the noise and also the potential dangers involved. Can these be removed and perhaps some fliers or notice be displayed to discourage this happening?”

Tunnel by McDonald's used as a toilet

Reported anonymously Sunday August 2.

“Please do something to stop people using the tunnel between Barclays and McDonald's in Top of Town as a toilet.

“People are openly relieving themselves in full view of shoppers. Perhaps you could put up signs directing people to the nearest toilets?”
