Cold weather and the possibility of snow is set to strike yet again this weekend.

In fact the Met Office predicts that the weekend will see the coldest weather yet this year, with temperatures dropping to negative numbers for much of the weekend.

On Saturday, highest temperatures in Watford will reach 0 degrees Celsius in the afternoon, while in the morning and evening it will range between -1 and -2 degrees Celsius.

Then on Sunday, light snowfall is expected to start from 12am to 9am, with temperatures ranging between -3 and -4 degrees Celsius.

By 9pm temperatures should reach -5 degrees Celsius, continuing on to an equally freezing Monday that will have temperatures between -4 and -6 degrees Celsius.

While the snow on Sunday is unlikely to become the same blanket of snow as seen earlier in January, it will likely be enough to settle.

On January 24 Hertfordshire Highways had 1,200 tonnes of salt spread on primary Hertfordshire routes as many routes saw traffic chaos and delays.

Meanwhile many readers sent in their pictures of the snow, with a some of our initial favourites featured here.
