Hello, my name’s Cookie and I’m a beautiful three-year-old girl.
I was found wandering the streets alone and saved by the dog warden. Sadly, nobody came looking for me so I was brought to the National Animal Welfare Trust in January to find a new home.
I’m a sweet, sensitive lurcher, and although I can find new things scary, I’m very friendly and love to have cuddles and give you kisses. I am a bit of a “loopy lurcher” and love to run and play with my toys.
I’m still learning so will need an experienced owner who doesn’t work and is home all day to continue my training. I love my treats and toys so respond well to reward-based training.
It will take me a long time to settle into my new home so my new owner will need to be gentle, patient and understanding. I need somebody who’ll take the time to show me the world isn’t such a scary place and help build my confidence.
I’m looking for a quiet home in a quiet area with adults or families with children aged at least 12. I could possibly live with a male dog of a similar size if we got on well after a few meets but I can’t live with cats.
What I’d like more than anything in the world is a loving home and family to call my own. If that could be you, email reception@nawt.org.uk or call 0208 950 0177 (option 2) to arrange a visit.
