The following death notices were carried in the Watford Observer last week:

BROMFIELD Pearl Jasett – Watford, passed away at her home on Thursday 14th January 2021, aged 79 years old. A beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. A wonderful and kind aunty and friend to many. Pearl will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.

FORD Joan Ann – Sadly passed away on 20th January aged 80. Beloved mum to David, Michael, Andrew, Stuart and Deborah. Grandmother to 6 adored grandchildren and also a great grandmother. Dearly loved and forever in our hearts.

HAWKINS Stella Marie – Sadly passed away on 5th January 2021 aged 73 and will be sadly missed by all her family and friends.

SYDNEY WILLIAM HAWTHORN – Sadly passed away on the 28th January. Husband to Audrey, father to Philip, Alison and Wendy, grandfather to Zak, Joel, Ellie, Lydia, Annie and Ted. Watford born and bred, Hornets supporter and talented sportsman.

OUTRAM John William – It is with great sadness that the family of John William Outram, born in St Albans, Hertfordshire on October 10th 1947 announces his passing on January 25th 2021. John passed away peacefully at his home in Weymouth, Dorset and will be lovingly remembered by Daughter Caroline, Son Peter and Granddaughters Teaghan and Amelia. Now at peace with his beloved wife Anne.

SLY Anthony (Tony) James – Died peacefully at his home in Abbots Langley, Herts on January 17th aged 91, after a battle with cancer. His daughter Elisabeth (Liz) and son Jonathan (Jonny) were beside him. Tony was for many years a widely respected teacher of maths in the community, at Queens School, Bushey and Watford Grammar School for Boys. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Smallwood Colin Paul – Sadly passed away on 29th December 2020 aged 74 years. A much loved Dad, Grandad and Brother. He will be deeply missed and always in our hearts.

PETER A VARLEY – of Beechpark Way Watford, sadly passed away on the 12th January 2021, aged 90. A beloved Dad, Grandad and friend who will be missed by all.
