A man was taken to hospital after he was injured at a construction yard.

The emergency services were called to an address in Kings Langley on Friday morning after reports a man was hurt.

The East Anglian Air Ambulance also attended the scene, and was one of two jobs the crew attended in Kings Langley on the same day.

The first emergency call came at around 8am on February 5 from a construction yard in Toms Lane, following an incident which is being treated by the emergency services as an "industrial accident".

The East Anglian Air Ambulance said doctor Natalie Lonsdale, critical care paramedic Tim Daniels, and supervisor doctor Ed Barnard assisted the East of England ambulance team by helping to assess and treat the patient; a man in his 60's, and by administering pain relief, before the patient was taken to hospital by road.

A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service added: "An ambulance, rapid response vehicle and the East Anglian Air Ambulance attended to a man who had suffered injuries in an accident just after 8am on Toms Lane in Kings Langley.

"The man was transported to Watford General Hospital for further assessment and treatment."

Police also attended the scene along with Hertfordshire Fire & Rescue.

The incident, which is believed to have involved a vehicle, has been referred to the Health and Safety Executive, police said.

Later that day, the East Anglian Air Ambulance were called back to Kings Langley to help an injured person in an undisclosed area of the village.

The air ambulance was called at 4.11pm.

The East Anglian Air Ambulance issued the following details on the incident: "Anglia Two was tasked to Kings Langley to assist the East of England Ambulance Service with an elderly patient who suffered a fall.

"Pilots Matt Sandbach and Andy Moorhouse landed the helicopter on a nearby field.

"Doctor Natalie Lonsdale, critical care paramedic Tim Daniels, and supervisor doctor Ed Barnard gave the patient a full assessment and provided A&E level care, including treating and splinting an injury.

"The HEMS team then accompanied the patient to Watford General Hospital, by land ambulance, for further treatment."
