Watford and surrounding areas continue to be covered by a yellow weather warning with the Met Office not ruling out the chance of more snow later today.
The town is well and truly within the grip of a cold snap with temperatures barely reaching above freezing today.
Watford and the rest of Hertfordshire has not seen heavy snowfall like other eastern parts of England this week; however there is the chance of more wintry weather this evening, according to the latest forecast.
The Met Office is currently predicting light snow for Watford at around 6pm (as of its 3pm forecast).
Earlier in the day, it had predicted light snowfall for the town around 5pm, with further snow showers in the evening, but this has now changed.
Other parts of Hertfordshire have seen and could continue to see snow showers throughout the day.
The yellow weather warning stays in place for our area on Wednesday but no snow is predicted to fall. Instead, we are set to see sunny spells, particularly in the morning.
But it will stay bitterly cold with temperatures hovering around freezing, - but feeling like -6 or -7 due to the wind - and it is set to stay that way until Sunday, when temperatures are forecast to rise to 4 degrees, before approaching double figures by the start of next week.
