With schools still learning remotely, many parents will be continuing to juggle home, work and childcare or home learning on a daily basis.

That’s why many will want to ensure that when their children return or join a new school, it has outstanding results to ensure the best education.

And latest data shows Watford has been ranked as one of the top 10 areas in England with the best access to outstanding schools.

Zoopla has revealed the lengths parents are willing to go to ensure their children get the best education.

Data from the property website shows 40 per cent of schools in Watford are rated outstanding by Ofsted, the highest award given when inspections are carried out.

This ranks the town as the 10th highest area in the country with the best access to outstanding schools.

The property website's survey also shows people are willing to pay on average £28,986 extra for a home to be closer to an outstanding school.

Tom Parker, Consumer Expert at Zoopla said: “From compromising on their finances to cutting back on practicalities in the home, paying nearly £29,000 more to live nearer to an Outstanding school is a priceless decision for parents, if it means their children can access the best education possible.”
