Designated parking spaces for charging electronic vehicles could be introduced in seven roads in Watford under proposals published this week.

A notice from Watford Borough Council in this week’s edition of the Watford Observer outlines the plans for the spaces in controlled parking zones in the town.

Views on the proposals are currently being sought, but if they get the go ahead parking places for charging electronic vehicles will come into use in: Sotheron Road (west side); Sutton Road (west side); Westland Road (west side); Granville Road (west side); Stamford Road (west side); Mildred Avenue (north side); Grosvenor Road (west side).

The notice states that the parking spaces will be restricted to a maximum stay of four hours, no return within two hours for charging within the permitted controlled parking zone hours.

Objections to the proposal, together with the grounds for doing so, must be made in writing to Andy Smith, Head of Transport and Infrastructure, Town Hall, Watford, WD17 3EX, or by email to TID@watford.gov.uk, by Friday, March 19.

Representations of support can also be made by this date.
