Police have appealed for witnesses and dash cam footage after a 16-year-old was stabbed in Watford.

The victim was attacked by two males in St Albans Road at the junction with Victoria Road last Sunday (March 21) at 6pm.

A fight broke out and the teenager was stabbed in the torso before being rushed to hospital. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

No one has been arrested and officers have appealed for anyone with information to come forward - particularly those with dash cam footage from the area at the time.

DI Jason Finnegan said: “We understand that news of this incident will cause concern among the community but we do believe all parties involved are previously known to one another, so I can confirm that we are not investigating this as a random attack.

“The victim is recovering in hospital and we are exploring a number of avenues as part of our investigation."

He added that the assault happened in broad daylight and officers know numerous vehicles passed at the time.

DI Finnegan continued: “Were you driving on St Albans Road at 6pm yesterday? Did you witness any suspicious activity? Do you have a dash cam that may have captured something of note? Please get in touch if you have information that could assist us.”
