People in Watford were treated to a Red Arrows fly-by today as the aerobatic display team soared through the sky for a practice run.

The red jets flew above the town this morning as part of their route around several locations in England during a formation flight.

The Red Arrows took to the skies from RAF Scampton in Lincolnshire around 10.37am before making their way to the Hertfordshire area around 11am.

Videos show the red planes flying over Cassiobury Park just after 11.05am.

Crowds of people watched the jets fly over the park, with plenty of park goers excited about seeing them pass above.

The red planes also flew over several areas around Watford, with photos capturing the aerobatic display team flying in formation.

They were also seen in Three Rivers, with Jeni Swift Gillett snapping a photo of the jets over Croxley Green.

The red, white and blue smoke usually seen trailing behind the red jets were not seen, however, with today’s fly-by being a practice run.

After flying over Watford, the Red Arrows then flew over several more locations before landing back at RAF Scampton around 11.30am.

The Red Arrows have flown over Watford before, with people in the town having been treated to a special fly past in 2019.

The planes flew into Hertfordshire over Rickmansworth, before travelling over the centre of Watford.
