The glorious sunshine in Watford this week is forecast to be replaced by snow showers following the Easter weekend. 

According to the Met Office, Monday will be windy with scattered heavy rain - with several areas set to also receive some snow.

Among them is Watford, Broxbourne, Welwyn and Hertford.

The BBC Weather forecast is also warning of hail showers in Watford, Hemel Hempstead, Tring, Hatfield and St Albans on Tuesday.

Temperatures may go as low as 0C overnight with highs in the week of around 8C. 

After a spell of hot weather this week, with temperatures exceeding 20C, cooler conditions are going to spread across the UK from today (Thursday).  

According to the Met Office it should stay dry with sunny spells between areas of cloud over the weekend.

Saturday will be a calm day with some wind, remaining cloudy and cool throughout the day.  

Easter Sunday will be slightly milder with some sunshine and variable cloud before rain arrives overnight.
