Motorists using several roads in the area are facing disruption to their journeys due to temporary closures for roadworks.

A notice from Hertfordshire County Council in this week’s edition of the Watford Observer details the closures in roads in Watford, Croxley Green and Sarratt that have either been approved or are set to be granted.

In all cases the orders last for 18 months, but the restrictions will only take effect at the times shown on signs on or near the affected roads.

On order has been granted for a section of Bushey Mill Crescent, Watford, to be temporarily closed for water connection works.

This comes into force on Wednesday and will prevent traffic from using a 38-metre section between No.66 and No.74 Bushey Mill Crescent.

The following day an order will come into force to allow for part of Bucks Hill, Sarratt, to be temporarily closed, again for water connection works.

This will affect the length of the road from its junction with Sarratt public footpath No.011 north westwards for a distance of approximately 150m.

The county close is also seeking to make an order to temporarily close sections of Richmond Way and Durrants Drive in Croxley Green for utility works.

If approved, this will come into force on April 19 and involve the temporary closure of:

That length of Richmond Way from its junction with Durrants Drive eastwards for a distance of approximately 67m.

That length of Durrants Drive from its junction with Hastings Way southwards for a distance of approximately 65m.

Another order, due to start on the same date, is to allow demolition and development works in Faraday Close in Watford Business Park. If granted, the entire road will be closed from its junction with Greenhill Crescent.
