There were delays on the M1 this evening following a crash between several vehicles.
Highways England tweeted around 6.15pm that multiple vehicles were involved in a collision northbound on the motorway near Hemel Hempstead (Junction 8).
Emergency services were rushed to the scene.

The vehicles involved have now been moved to the hard shoulder and are awaiting recovery.
There had been queues forming back to Junction 6 near St Albans following the incident, although according to google maps queues are starting to clear.
It has unknown how many vehicles were involved in the crash.
Hertfordshire Constbaulary has been approached for more information.
