Police have sent out several appeals this week following incidents including a hit & run, a fight and vandals damaging fencing at a golf course.

Hertfordshire Constabulary is still investigating the incidents and are appealing for any information and witnesses.

The Independent Office for Police Conduct has also sent out an appeal this week after a man being accompanied by a police officer fell out of a moving ambulance.

Woman hit by car near train station

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was hit by a vehicle which failed to stop near Bushey train station.

The incident happened shortly after 9pm on Thursday April 8 in Aldenham Road, near the junction with Pinner Road.

A woman was crossing Aldenham Road when she was struck by a dark coloured vehicle.

She was taken to hospital for treatment and has since been discharged.

Criminal damage on golf course

Police are investigating two incidents of criminal damage on a golf course.

Officers in Bushey have received two separate reports of damage to fencing at Bushey Hall Golf Course, which shut as a golf club in 2019.

The fencing, which is in place to define the boundary between public and private areas around the club, was damaged on both Friday April 2 and April 6.

Suspicious incident in Radlett

Police are investigating a suspicious incident where a man pulled over a woman in her car to falsely claim she had a flat tyre.

Hertfordshire Constabulary says the incident occurred in Radlett on the B556, Harper Lane, near to the Kingsley Green Hospital turning, between 6.45am and 6.55am on Monday, April 5.

The force says a woman was driving a black Smart Car when another vehicle flashed its lights at her to pull over.

The woman stopped her car, a man got out of his vehicle and approached claiming the Smart car had a flat tyre, which it did not.

The woman remained inside her car and drove away before reporting the incident to police.

Man falls from ambulance

The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) is appealing for witnesses and information after a man fell out of a moving ambulance on the ring road.

The IOPC has launched an investigation into the incident as an officer was with the man at the time of the accident.

Hertfordshire Constabulary said the man suffered serious injuries and was taken to a London hospital.

The 46-year-old is currently in a critical condition.

Fight overnight

Police were called overnight to reports of a group of people fighting.

A group of people from three vehicles were reported to be involved in the incident in Woodmere Avenue, Watford, at around 1am on April 15.

Officers attended the scene, but the people involved in the brawl had left.

Hertfordshire Constabulary says officers thoroughly searched the area but were unable to find those involved.
